An old but now updated and potentially dangerous Microsoft windows scam is going the rounds.

It used to be an asian person calling you on behalf of MS, telling you that from their records, you have downloaded some hacking software and need anti virus software. It has changed into criminal activity now.

{*1}MS do not have any personal information that links your name to an IP address or any other personal details.

They will say that you have used the internet and have unwittingly downloaded this malware and it will cause immense damage to your computer, even with...

A long read but worth the effort if you have the time. Something I missed in life and something not taught at school, no surprise there, its too confrontational with today's monetary system of living. Interesting as both an eye opener and an historical circumcision of traditional beliefs and understanding of our prehistoric ancestors.
The final question is as poignant now as it was then.

the Human Race," Discover Magazine, May 1987, pp. 64-66.

As the recent Kansas tornado devastated the state and caused untold mayhem and destruction, a band of people braved the storm in a converted truck that can withstand a certain amount of battering.

The footage below shows the eye of the storm as they parked and the storm passed over them. You may see the wind direction change as the video progresses, illustrating the circular motion of the tornado. Note the footage when lots of debris begins to pass the truck across the front and you can hear some of the debris hitting it.

Pretty scary stuff especially in full screen mode.

    Was it a dream ?

A fanciful thought whilst waiting for MS Word to boot up ?

A cruel joke of subliminal messaging ?

Or did Andy Murray really win a Grand Slam in tennis ?

Even though it remains blazoned across the internet and snooze-papers, I still have to remind myself a few times a day that the reality is not only tangible but a solid fact of life.

And then I smile, pump the arm and whisper "YES!" to my imaginary friends gathered around me. The smile lingers for some time and all is rosy.

Everyone at work thinks I'm mad, but that's...

What a mess, especially for Hamilton.

I can't believe it, his luck has deserted him, Grosjean cutting across and taking him and two other out is outrageous driving, stupid and dangerous. Maldonado looked to have jumped the lights, not sure whether he did, but it looked that way to me.

Hamilton, Alonso and Perez out to nothing more than a technical racing incident, but its going to have far reaching effects on the championship table in a few weeks time. Alonso is still going to be No1 courtesy of having enough points to stay there, but the rest of the table will have caught...

I feel for Hamilton right now, he doesnt seem to be getting any luck. Blown trye into 1st corner, same as 2nd race this year I believe. when will the gods smile on him. Why wasn't the safety car brought out ? they have done for less garbage on the track before.

As for the Vettel penalty, so many people don't understand the rules, they're quite simple ...... if you go off the track, its an illegal overtake and you get a basic 20 secs on your time. Much like a drive though, in fact he may have ended up in 6th place if he'd got an in-race drive through. As for his excuse he didnt see Button,...

Now the postmortem has been made and England can return to normality somewhat, the real detective work can begin.

Just what is wrong with English football.

It can boast a supreme level of investment, the biggest grass roots infrastructure in British sport, more clubs and facilities than any other sport, and enough leagues to last till the end of time. Local business sponsorship almost goes without saying, parks and indoor pitches galore, a user base that includes all schools and a recreational habit that gives every child a chance to kick a cheap ball around at the drop of...

    Hi All.

Just implemented a new option to have a floating chatbox on every page, so you don't have to keep changing pages to find info and go back to chat. We can still use the original too.

Chat is updated on both boxes and logging in and out are the same for both, ie log out of one and you log out of all. You can find the link to the new chatbox....bottom right on every screen, and you can expand and reduce the window live, it won't log you out each time.

The FMChat box has more options to choose from once you have logged in, which requires a little input from...

Like him or loathe him, he does get the blood boiling for his "Predictive" articles.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Its not the article itself that I read with any conviction, but rather the comments afterwards, which are pretty hilarious, but sadly true.

The "Every para begins with -I Think-" comment sums him up for me.

Watch it live here... qualifying today, and going into the Q2.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Its hotting up quite nicely, Hamilton flying into 1st place at this stage, but its now a war of who can drive the fastest on their choice of tyres, which is becoming a tactical war, something I didnt think was good for the sport, but now seems to be entering into a kind of racing that makes this sport...

Just a poll to see what you peeps think about some ideas to make the forum more accessible to new, potential members. Maybe a new front end or just tweaking whats here. Maybe some of you think, if it ain't broke, etc, or maybe there are some of you who would like extra bits and/or more effort with outside sources to attract new membership.

I'd appreciate an anonymous vote, just to ensure we are all giving a definitive appraisal, I'd like to see how we all view the forum without the need to feel we have to justify our choices. Be as honest as you can, if you feel I've left out any topical...

Fans and musicians have reacted with shock to the death of American singer and actress Whitney Houston.

Aretha Franklin, the star's godmother, said the news was "stunning and unbelievable" while Mariah Carey said she was "heartbroken and in tears".

Houston died in her room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Some sources reported she was found slumped in the bath.

The 48-year-old was best known for powerful ballads such as I Will Always Love You and One Moment In Time

Just to keep the chat going, I thought we may like to post some favourite famous one liners from films

One of my faves was from See no Evil, Hear no Evil with Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor. When they are being interogated by the police, because Gene's character can't hear and lip reads he thinks Richards character has said 'Fuzzy Wuzzy Was A Woman' I crack up every time at that

A little old lady answered a knock on the door one day, only to be confronted by a well-dressed young man carrying a vacuum cleaner.

"Good morning," said the young man. "If I could take a couple minutes of your time, I would like to demonstrate the very latest in high-powered vacuum cleaners."

"Go away!" said the old lady. "I am broke and haven't got any money!" and she proceeded to close the door.

Quick as a flash, the young man wedged his foot in the door and pushed it wide open. "Don't be too hasty!" he said. "Not until you have at least seen my demonstration."...

I'll be the first to admit, I have always moaned about 606, the wums, the lies, the hate, but I was as much part and parcel of the dark side of 606 and in a way as much to blame for its demise.

    I fed the trolls.

    I encouraged the wums.

I argued for the sake of arguing.

All for a good cause I thought, but looking back, I think I have to admit being the one side of a double edged sword.
The ying or the yang, it doesn't matter, I was there partying on the proceeds of wum exchange threads.

Now, although I can say I was part of that rather strange,...

Now that Djokovic is nearly at the end of his recuperation from a back strain or more accurately, a back muscle rupture, he should be fit for Paris, unless he tries out his back at a 500 like Valencia, but seeing it is a shoulder injury, there may be some pain involved when he gets back to professional competition.

I hope he hasn't created a weak spot in his shoulder, as Nadal with his knees had to lose some weight and remould his serve, because this could seriously undermine his comeback and put him back a year.

    I've had a look at ruptured/torn/pulled muscles.....

Poor old Koellerer, not content with his manic displays of mad dog tennis, he's begun a club for match fixing.

David Savic is the latest member to sign up, I wonder just how many players have been guilty of this in recent times.

Not counting the top players, as they don't need the money, but it goes to show how much pressure is put on the heads of those journeymen who have to ply their trade on the circuit with not much money being out in their piggy bank on a weekly basis.

Apart from falling off my chair when Michael Stich decided to wade into the argument about a possible strike by the top players (I mean, what has he got to moan about, he's retired and comfy in his armchair now) and then centring on Murray in particular as if he is some kind of ringleader, then ungraciously skirts round the number one problem of player fatigue, by illustrating his era of playing both doubles and singles in a slam.

And yes, that may be the reason he only won one singles slam title. And was in the top ten for a blink of an eye. (yeah yeah, he won an Olympic gold in the...
