This is my favourite at the moment. Trace Adkins was on the American Apprentice and this is how I got to hear his new No.1 hit on the country charts.

This sums up my late teenage aspirations to a "T".

Can't watch the end of this film without tears welling up. Reminds me of the time when I realised that a particular era had passed and will never be visited again. Lost friends and times fading into memory...

Yes Jubbs, he's very good, I'd never heard of him.

That track is a bit too headbanging for my liking lol.

This is nice Smile

All the more remarkable as the artist who made it famous never had any guitar lessons and played right handed on a left handed guitar....aka Jimi Hendrix.

Alvins rendition is a good cover too.

If you're not too keen on the headbanging side then this one by Lee may be more up your street.

Fun being the operative word.

You prob never heard the original of this song, but here it is...1972 style.

Hadn't heard that one SOl, and yes, he still has good voice, after all those years of substance abuse.

I'm surprised he's still alive, biologically.

Deliverence delivered on so many different levels.

For a start, it was scary and tragic, made me realise just what a backwater meant and of course surprised in how good an actor Burt Reynolds was.

So many films came out of that era that would not make it to the screens nowadays, too many sensitive souls around to take it politically on the chin or see it as artistic creativity or even a social dictum on society's values.

Shame really as the film pool has stagnated in comparison to the freedom they had back then to express themselves in celluloid.
