So where are Fed and Djoko ?

The rest of the events this month are 250's until Madrid.

Resting.

Andy's first match is against Sergei Stakhovsky, who beat Lucky Loser Donskoy 6-2 6-3 today. It is second match after a 12.30 (UK) match, so maybe 2-ish? I doubt if there will be any livestreams until Thursday, unless livescorehunter finds a spanish tv station showing it.

Anything less than a final appearance for Andy here and I will see tha as a disappointment I have to say.

I should think that is local time, so about 2pm BST.

easy enough for Murray today. At one point he looked like he was getting frustrated (early in the second set) but then Stak promptly played some awful tennis to gift him the break.

some tough players hanging around in Andy's half for this one (Almagro and Ferrer the obvious two), should be an interesting week for him.

Looked an easy enough win on paper, but didn't get to watch the match. I'm not sure MFC what Ferrer will offer after his disappointment last week, however he's Spanish and knows how to play on the clay. Same with Almagro.

I can't judge the performance as I never saw the match but scorewise it looks like a fairly routine win. It will surely only get tougher from here on in.

CHELSEAeeeeee......CHELSEAeeeeee......
CHELSEAeeeeee......CHELSEAeeeeee......
CHELSEAeeeeee......CHELSEAeeeeee......
CHELSEAeeeeee......CHELSEAeeeeee......

Sorry couldn't help myself.

John Terry, why is he trying to record his way out of history ???

Fifa changed their rules for the 2010 World Cup to allow an amnesty after the quarter-finals, wiping out previous yellow cards to ensure no player could miss the final through a booking at the semi-final stage.
If Uefa wished to do likewise, the Club Competitions Committee would have to propose such a rule change but it would not come in time for this year's final.

Pity, but its his own fault.

Meanwhile, our intrepid hero has done a fantastic 1st match rout of Stakhovsky, with what looks like a repeated high quality service game. Question is, can he keep up the stats.

I'm feeling in a positive mood, strangely, so I'll go the optimistic route and say he should do well. He must hit the consistent level soon.

And of course the player I most like to hate "Hanescu" is playing Tipsy. A good thrashing please Mr Serbian No2 !

Andy takes on the Colombian Santiago Giraldo tomorrow (from around 2.30pm UK time). Should be straight forward for him.

On Bet365, they are listing games at 11.30 that are not accessible yet (its 12.00 noon atm) , and matches that were on at 10.30 are still going on. Must be 1 hr ahead, so their advertised listing of the Murray mat6ch at 13.30, must be 12.30 for us.

6-1 6-2 for Andy.

Pretty easy for him although he did get broken once but broke straight back, how often has he done that in the past!

easy for Murray, his concentration slipped a bit because he was breaking Giraldo almost at will but he responded really well, stepping up the court and reeling off four games to clinch the match.

Some fab returning with Giraldo winning just 20% of his points behind the second serve. Murray's serve worked pretty well too...

Well, with a 62% 1st serve v 81% win ratio, he again walks it, even though he made a few UE's, some of which led to his loss of service game.

But some good groundshots broke Giraldo down and Murray played all the important points correctly, ie with aggression. He will have to up his game as he progresses, but he is becoming more consistent in serve and baseline play.

As expected it was a comfortable win for Andy. Tomorrow he takes on one of the best youngsters around at the moment in Milos Raonic. It will be Andy's biggest test yet but I'd still expect Andy to win in straight sets.
