Are you there Decrepitude or are you referring to traffic jams ?

No, I was referring to shopping and for some reason, huge queues in the shops and at the doctors'. I'm usually home before 12.30 on a Thursday but it was after 1pm - and I had to sort us both some lunch before I could watch the match.

Not going anywhere today though. 11.30 is Andy time! Very Happy

Worrying early signs - Raonic leads 5-3 and looking solid whilst Andy not chasing balls down and perhaps has an injury? I am off to work now but don't like the way this one is heading.

First set to Raonic 6-4. Evil or Very Mad

Fair play to the youngster but waiting for Andy to fire into life.

The worrying thing is, I wouldn't even say Andy is playing badly - but he is still losing!

Andy eventually lost the second set and the match in a tiebreak.

Impressive showing from young Raonic. He is very big and powerful, with a monster serve, a crushing forehand, and immense reach and unlike most big players, moves very well.

I'm not sure whether it is more or less worrying that Andy lost while not playing badly! Ok he was not at his very best, but still. . .

Never saw the second set but Andy struggled with Raonic's serve from what I saw. I would say that Raonic is surely destined for a slam win in a few years time once the current era have past their best as he is by far the best youngster on the horizon so what is there to stand in his way?

For Murray there is not a lot he can take out of this apart from a few more ranking points in the bank.

Not even that. His lowest counting score is last week's 180.

Raonic played well as did Andy.

He is a bit of Del Potro mixed with Karlovic but apart from a huge serve one of which measured 148mph, he also has a tennis brain.

Interesting to see how Rafa would handle him should they both make it to the final!

Conqueror of Andy Murray, Milos Raonic has been beaten in straight sets by David Ferrer in the semi-finals. However, he lost in two tie-breaks so showed he is certainly no mug.
