Andy Murray will begin his bid to win the Miami Masters with a Second Round match against Bernard Tomic. Potentially, Andy could face a trio of the cream of today's youngsters with Gregor Dmitrov awaiting in the Third Round and possibly Jerzy Janowicz in the Fourth Round.

Well last year it was an Andy v Novak final with Novak coming out top.

This year a reversal would do nicely!

Both looked a bit under cooked against Delpo at Indian Wells so with different courts and temperatures? will be hoping for improvement, especially with Rafa & Roger both being absent.

Andy Murray looking like he is having a comfortable afternoon in the Miami sun against Bernard Tomic. He leads 6-3 2-1 with the young Aussie looking frustrated. Nothing special from Andy but has been competent thus far.

In lightening quick time Andy Murray has beaten Bernard Tomic 6-3 6-1. A weird match as Andy strolled through in second gear as Tomic put in a suspect mental display. Next up for Andy is probably match against Grigor Dmitrov.

LOL. What a rubbish display from Tomic.

Murray looked good though.

Andy Murray came through a sticky spell in the first set against up and coming Grigor Dimitrov and now leads 7-6 4-1 as a place in the Fourth Round against Andreas Seppi beckons. Dimitrov impressed early on but fell away. However, he has the most complete all-round game of any of the youngsters coming through.

And Murray wins 7-6 6-3 to reach the Fourth Round. A bit like his matches in Indian Wells - a patchy performance.

He did enough to win but with Andy who usually starts slow and with Gregor coming out like a train, it did look worrying at 5-2 down in the first set.

But never say never with Andy and thanks to "a choke" when serving for the set he made it back without going to three sets.

Dimitrov is one to watch for the future for sure.

Tonight's match against Seppi I think will be easier than Dimitrov but you never know!

Yes a routine win for Andy tonight against Seppi. He won 6-2 6-4 and after playing some great stuff in the first set Andy's level dipped but still coasted to the win. In the quarters Andy will play either Jo Wilifried Tsonga or Marin Cilic.

With Tommy Haas causing a shock and beating Novak Djokovic last night the way has really opened up for Andy Murray. In the quarters he will face Marin Cilic and with a 7-1 head-to-head he will be warm favourite to win. A possible semi-final against Berdych may be the key match as perhaps David Ferrer awaits in the final. Should Andy win the Miami Masters he will become No.2 in the world displacing Roger Federer.

Andy Murray pretty comfortably through to the semis after beating Marin Cilic 6-4 6-3. As of late Murray just did enough without getting out of second gear. With possibly Tomas Berdych waiting in the semis Andy will need to up his game. Murray now just two wins away from becoming world No.2.

Andy Murray is in semi-final action tonight at 11pm (UK Time) against Richard Gasquet. I would like to see Andy stamp his authority on this match.

Gasquet is probably playing the best tennis in his career so far and Andy will have to up his game from what he has done so far.

Can he do this, off course he can, and if he can take the first set I think that would probably be enough to win the match - Richard is well known for being a bit of a " bottle merchant" and when he goes behind it becomes difficult for him.

However maybe the " new" Gasquet has been able to conquer this and who knows he could win this one and go on and take the title in the final.

However I wouldn't put any money on it!

Granted that Andy will need to up his level to snuff out the threat of Gasquet. It is a match I would expect Andy to win but he needs to find top gear.

Andy needs consistency and to find his first serve. In the 2 important games against Cilic, his 1st serve deserted him at crucial times and made it very difficult for him to hold. If he can get those serves in, Gasquet won't get any cheap points and his own service game is not better than Andy's.

I'd say it will be a war of serves, whoever comes in without it will lose.

Both match up well against forehand and backhand, but Andy can last longer in rallies overall, and Murray is better at the net.

I'd give Andy a big edge to win this as long as he serves as well as he can. Nothing special, just get those 1st ones in.

It is a match I'd expect him to win but since the semi-final of the Australian Open his form has been a bit too patchy for my liking. He seems to be in a mood to win matches and no more than that. I would really like him to take more command of matches in which he is clear favourite.

Meanwhile, the other semi is under way and Tommy Haas is serving for the first set at 5-2.

David Ferrer has ground down Tommy Haas to win in three sets to seal a spot in the Miami Masters Final. Can Andy join him in a few hours time?

Murray has got a habit of throwing set serving games away lately and here was another one. Gasquet did nothing but one shot to win a break back anbd is now playing with a lot of confidence and levels the match and goes up to 6/5.

Crazy stuff with Andy, had the 1st set in the bag, almost, and threw it away with a double fault.

At this point, Richard is in the ascendancy, but I expect a fight back from andy to go to a tie break, I don't think Gasquet has the mental stamina to keep this up.

And out it goes.....1st set to Gasquet.

A lapse and he let the Frenchie off.

UE error count too high and not enough 1st service in....64% only and that came from the last two service games from Andy, he was doing quite well for the first 4 games.
