Well done Andy, bit nervy in the 1st set, but when you got your mojo up and running great play, forehand was awesome. Onward and upwards Andy!

Yes...it was a good start for him, Chris.

Next up for Andy, is Robin Haase, in round 2, on Friday.

I don't think I'll be able to watch that match Sad

As the Second Round gets under way today another two seeds in the men's draw have bitten the dust with Michael Llodra (No.29 seed) and Radek Stepanek (No.23 seed) have exited. Roger Federer currently on court and just won the first set 6-3 against Dudi Sela (Israel). Should be a straight forward win for Federer.

Order of play out for tomorrow's play and Andy Murray is on Louis Armstrong Court by my guess around 9pm (UK Time).

Cheers Craig, Better time for Andy, not in the blazing sun. Baltacha going well just now, hopefully she can hold on to her lead, currently 3-1 first set.

I am watching a cracking match between Gael Monfils and Juan Carlos Ferrero. It has now being going on for around three and a half hours and Monfils leads 6-7 7-5 7-6 2-1

Was watching Ferrero/Monfils up to the Baltacha match started, very tight between them. And I've spoken too soon, Kuznetsova pulled back to even things up 3-3.

I've just been looking over tomorrows matches, I wonder if Donald Young will pull off a shock by beating Stan, home support and all. Stan's form coming into this hasn't been too good.

Well play starts at 4pm (UK Time) and there is a woman's match to be followed by a John Isner match not to start before 6pm (UK time). Andy is on after this match so I'd guess at around 9pm but don't quote me on that. Wink

Monfils V Ferrero now in a fifth set and Ferrero breaks at the start of the fifth set to lead 1-0 after well over four hours of play but Monfils is threatening to break right back. The No.7 seed in trouble.

Bit miffed that Murray faces the world No.41 in the Second Round whilst Federer today had the world No.93 and Djokovic has the world No.74.

I don't buy that and in any case whoever you draw out of the current top four in the semis is going to be a mighty tough match. Early doors though Djoko has had it mighty easy with just 40 minutes of play in the First Round and by no means a tough match tonight.

Match of the tournament so far has ended after 4 hours 48 minutes as Juan Carlos Ferrero beats No.7 seed Gael Monfils in five sets. Great match.
