Morning everyone. I'm guessing you guys are as nervous as we were this time yesterday. Just popped by to say Good Luck to Andy. All the Rafateers will be cheering for him. We've had enough Rafa vs. Djoko finals!

Cheers cats. Yes very nervous which for me is a bad sign. Prior to many of Andy's previous matches at this tournament I have been very calm ann put that down to great confidence he would win. That isn't there today but I just want to see Andy put up a good account of himself. Winning a set or two I would see as an improvement considering how he faired in last year's final against Djoko. For me with Andy I am always looking for improvement and if I see it it gives me hope for the future.

I really feel it is key that Andy gets off to a great start. If he can get the first set on the board then I'd be very hopeful as Andy just needs to get his teeth into these type of matches which he has never done in his slam final performances. Today I am almost looking at this as a final in itself so will look for Andy to at least win a set.

Jubbahey wrote:I'm feeling quite upbeat about his match with Djoko.

I'm not fearful that he'll lose, but optimistic that he will play better than their last meeting. There's every chance he could win, but Djoko is such a good player at getting almost impossible balls back, that it will be tough to win, but its not an unlikely event, but more a level he has to achieve to bring himself into a position to win.

Onwards and upwards, there may be a few hiccups on the way, but finally, I am feeling distinctly happier about Murrays game and his attitude.

Even though this new approach hasn't really been tested yet.

Tomorrow it will, big time, no let offs or walk outs, it'll be "in ya' face Novak" with an even sterner "down ya' throat" Nadal if he wins.

But maybe for the first time, I'm actually going to enjoy the match whether he wins or loses.

Great post Jubba.

Good luck Andy!

Well its game on and I don't know why I'm as nervous as I am. First game complete and nothing given away. The next 3 hours plus are going to be tense ones for us Murray fans Very Happy Lets hope his serve is much improved from previous rounds.

Three breaks of serve in a row, last one from Andy was pretty poor. Djokovic leads 4-2 on serve.

Not looking good so far. Djokovic takes the first set 6-3 with too many unforced errors riddling Andy's game. He's almost in inner debate with himself with whether to play his natural counter-punching game or the more aggressive game Lendl is trying to instill into him. Andy must win this second set or else there is no way back for Andy.

I made this analogy at the US Open and it still seems the way. When Andy plays the big guns (Federer, Nadal and Djokovic) in slams it is like he is playing with handcuffs on. His natural game is over-taken by tension and perhaps a lack of self-belief - Lendl has to work on that as it throttles his chances it really does.

Just stating the obvious. If Andy wants to win this match he MUST win this set. Djok breaks back and Murray lleads 4-3 (back on serve).

Tension. Pure tension in Andy's game at key moments. Not choking just tension hence I say it is like he has handcuffs on.

Andy wins the second, looking at the body language of both, Andy is looking the more likely to go on and win, but Nole will fight to the death. This can only favour Rafa no matter who takes this match. I'm spent just watching this Shocked
